The most amazing thing I have ever seen!

I was in awe of how the Lord has created our bodies and the amazing miricle of how he brings life into this world. My little cousin Ashleigh had her second son and she made it look so easy. I am so very proud of her for trusting in the Lord and knowing that she could do it with his help. I was so inspired by her faithfulness that I want to have a natural childbirth. I cant tell you how much I love that little guy. I catch myself looking down at him and then I cant take my eyes off him.

I just want to praise the Lord for his perfect timing. Thank you for closing all the doors that needed to be closed. You knew exactly what we needed and when we needed it!

Welcome baby Merritt!

Im so excited!

Last night i decided that i was going to start cooking more. Let me tell you why I don't, cause I want to! Frank's dad is a bit of a control freak and when he hears someone in the kitchen he has to go see what's going on. Then when he see's someone in there cooking he has to throw in his opinion. Which wouldn't be so bad but if you don't do what he says he gets upset or mad, kinda like what he says doesn't matter.
So lately I haven't been cooking cause I just don't need anymore drama in my life. Yesterday I just thought you know what I'm going to start cooking and thats that! I love it and I love cooking for my husband. I had so much fun cooking with my cousin Ashleigh and very good friend Bethany. I told Frank what I was thinking and he got so excited. I made the Enchilada's that we made that day. They turned out great!!!!! I made a dish of beef and a dish of chicken. Can you believe it Franks dad said he really liked it! We were all blown away. He wont tell you its good if he doesn't like it. What I mean by that is some people would say it was good even if it wasn't just to be nice cause the person went to so much trouble. Not his dad he will tell you what you could do to make it better, he had nothing to say. So dinner was a success!I'm so motivated to cook more! Thank you to Tammy for all your wonderful recipes!!! Thank you mom for my Longaberger apron its going to get a lot of use now!

It's been a long time!

I hadn't realized how long it has been since I have written anything. I have been crazy busy with life. My husband and I after a lot of prayer have decided that at the end of May he will quit Von's. It seems easy enough but when you really look deep into the situation its not as easy as it sounds. The Lord is really working on both of us to trust him completely. Right now he is only working 24 hours just enough hours to keep our benefits. He is also going to school full time and working at a hospital 2 days a week. He has no days off and its starting to show. In May he will be interning full time at the hospital for a whole year. Since it is an intern program they do not get paid for there work the program does give them a $300.00 stipin a month. He considered working at Von's Sat. and Sun. but that was never anything I agreed with. I now understand where he was coming from. He has never not had a job where he was being paid and he has been at Von's now for almost 10 years. He knows his job pretty well. Now he is going into a much more intense field a lot more demanding but at the same time way more rewarding in my eyes. The Lord has blessed him with a huge heart. I really believe that he (after his nerves settle down) will be a great example for the Lord. He has a gift to make people feel comfortable in times of stress and pain. I have always known it but I think he is now seeing it a little. When I had my spinal tap if that x-ray tech wasn't there to hold my hand and talk me through the procedure I probably would have knocked out the doctor who was sticking a very large needle into my spin telling me "don't worry its almost over." The hard part for him is that he has a wife and puppy to take care of and without his regular income that just wasn't OK to him. At the beginning of this semester he put me in charge of our finances. I wanted to show him that we would be OK. So I put together a presentation (it was like being in high school again) of monthly bills and stuff we could cut back on and so on. It was about a month later he came to me and we talked and he got a big smile on his face and said if I quit Von's I could go to family functions and we could do things together. I think he finally realized my point I was trying to make all along. Sat. and Sun. off for a whole year. Some people think I have made up a imaginary husband because they never get to see him. Everyone says "wheres frank?" and I always say "hes at work." We are very excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in the next year. We both know it wont be easy but with the Lord on our side we know we can get through it!
