God is Great!!!

The Lord knows just what we need just when we need it! I spent Friday to Tuesday in the desert at my moms house. It was a blessing!! We had so much fun on all the adventures we went on. Throughout next week I will be posting pictures and story's to go along with them. My sister came to my house Tuesday after she got off work and we got to spend a much needed night of sisterly fun!! My mom and bruder came out Wed. morning and we went on another adventure. I can't wait to share with you all the fun things we did. Its so nice to know that I only have to work for two days and then the weekend is here. I have some exciting news I have never done this before but Im going to try it. On Monday Im going to have a giveaway post. Im going to put up the post on Monday and do the giveaway on Friday. Im so so so excited to try this.

So.... during this 6 day vacation I had we added a new addition to the family. After lots and lots of prayer and still more prayers cause I love to doubt myself we have gotten Dash (our puppy) a friend. He knows her very well its his bio mommy. There was just so much going into this decision and we feel that the Lord wanted her with us. We have been reading like crazy about adding another dog into the family and have so much to learn. If you have anything you would like to share I would love to hear it. Here is something we are praying about cause we havent decided what to do. Dash sleeps with us. I know I know a lot of people think this is a bad thing, but I just loved cuddling with him and once he learned how to jump up on the bed it was over. I do admit I never made him sleep on the floor cause well... I love him cuddling up to me. Frank wont admit it to anyone but Im here to tell you he loves it too! :) Now we have two dogs and yes we have a california king bed but I just dont know if I should let them both sleep on the bed or not. I have read that you cant let one sleep on the bed and not the other. Then I have read that you cant make the first dog start sleeping on the ground cause you got a new dog that could make him resent the second dog. What I have done the last two night is they start on the ground and then Dash has jumped up and then Fanny wants up. She sleeps right at the foot of the bed and doesnt move so it hasnt been a problem at all. She has some issues from her past and I just want her to feel loved and wanted!!! Frank said that we should get something that is level with our bed and then put her little bed on it, so that she is close to me cause thats what she wants just to know Im there and that should be good. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment. Overall things are going great and we are all just having a blast with each other. We are going to take Fanny (that was the name she was given almost two years ago) and Dash to the duck park and the dog park today that should be a whole lot of fun! Please pray for us!!!!

A quick favor if you think of me on Sat. can you please pray for me. I have a rather large stampin party with for sure 16 women and Im a little shy of speaking in front of people I don't know. We are making the flip books and two cards. I will be posting the cards next week. Thank you!!!!

Off to my Mom's

I Can't tell you how excited I am to have the next 6 days off. As my husband and I were taking Dash for a walk yesterday he asked me "can you even remember the last time we had 6 days off together?" No I can't actually because it has been a long long time! So we will really enjoy our time off together!! We are heading to my moms house in about a half hour. I really wanted to sleep in this morning but had lots to do to get ready. I got up at 7:30am so I did get to sleep in a whole hour more, which is awesome!!!! I got up got packed and ready, dropped Dash off at the groomers, went to the bank and the post office. So now I am just waiting for my hubby to get home from his study group and we are off. Have a blessed Memorial Day weekend!!

So proud of you honey!!!!

My husband has officially graduated from the x-ray tech program. Last Wed. night they had a dinner for the techs and some family members. It was a great evening. Of course my husband didn't even want to go, but they HAVE to or they don't get their certificate and if you don't have your certificate you can't apply for a job. My husband doesn't like to be the center of attention (unlike his wife :) so if he didn't have to go he wouldn't have. He didn't go to his college graduation and he has told me many times if he didn't have to go to his high school graduation he wouldn't have gone to that. I'm glad that they make it a requirement to go! I am so proud of him and I'm so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in the future. We would still love for you to pray for us. Again thank you so much for all the prayers and support. When we get an update on the details of a job I will let you know!!

Thank you!

My husband asked me to make him some "Thank you" cards for some of the people he has worked with for the last year. Of course I was so happy to help him out!! I started to make the cards, first I did the girl cards. I wanted to stay simple but cute. I made the girl cards and then thought hey I will just do the boy cards in blue and there you go. Well.... even though they were blue they were still a little too girly for my taste. I did a little more thinking and playing and came up with some better boy "Thank you" cards. I will give you a list of all the products I used and a tutorial for each card. I hope you enjoy!!

Stamps: Much Appreciated and So Many Scallops
Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Confetti white
Inks: Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Scallop punch, purely pomegranate ribbon and dimensionals

Cut the card to be 5 1/2" by 8 1/2". Score your card at 4 1/4"

Cut a piece of purely pomegranate paper down to 2 1/4" by 5 1/2"

Use adhesive to a attach the strip of purely pomegranate paper onto the confetti white card. Next wrap your ribbon around the card and tie where you desire.

Stamp your "thank you" on the card, next stamp your flower on a piece of confetti white paper and use the scallop punch to make the flower. Attach some dimensionals onto the back of the flower and place it on your card.

The Blue card is all the same directions just use the Blue Bayou colors. See easy and cute!!! Have fun!

Ok here is the "Thank you" card for the boys, much better I know. Especially since it's a boy giving to a boy. Or man giving to a man... you know what I mean.

Stamp: Much Appreciated
Paper: Chocolate chip, Certainly celery, Bashful blue, and whisper white
Ink: Chocolate chip
Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch and dimensionals

Cut the card to be 5 1/2" by 8 1/2". Score your card at 4 1/4"

Punch out three circles of each color, bashful blue and certainly celery

Cut out a piece of chocolate chip paper down to 4 1/4" by 1 3/4", cut a piece of certainly celery down to 4" by 1 1/2", and cut a piece of whisper white paper down to 3 3/4" by 1 1/4".

Use your adhesive to attach your circles on your card. Then attach your certainly celery piece to your chocolate chip piece. Stamp your thank you onto your whisper white paper. Put dimensionals on the back of your whisper white paper and attach that to the certainly celery paper.

Now use your adhesive to attach the chocolate chip piece and center on top of the circle punches.

Now you are done and you have a simply buy manly thank you card. Happy stamping!!!

Happy May

Today is the first day of May and from today till the end of August things are going to be super super busy! With birthdays, new jobs, moving, mission trips and everything in between life is going to be a lot of fun. At least thats how Im viewing it right now. We will see as everything happens but at least right now Im staying positive right?! :)

We have at least 10 birthdays I can think of off the top of my head from now till August. I have a lot a lot of family! Im not exaggerating either, I really do have a ton of family. With all the new babies in the family we are celebrating 3 first birthdays the rest are 2 and up. Its going to be a fun time!

Frank (Lord willing) will be starting a new and exciting job. Yesterday on my hubby's way to work he called and asked if I could pray with him. He was going to turn his application into HR and was just a little nervous, so of course I prayed for him and all the different emotions that go into turning in this application. When he got off work we met for dinner at Red Robin and he started to tell me about his day. The Lord is so good!!!! He was told by his boss not to turn in his application to HR but to give it to his bosses boss and she will turn it into the boss of the Cath lab. That is BIG!!!!! The process just skipped two steps and Frank was very excited! This has been the first time he has really allowed himself to get excited since hearing the news on friday that he could go home and tell his wife he has a job. Thank you again for all your prayers, please keep them coming!

We are looking for a new place to call our home. Our goal is to get out towards my mom, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The housing market is a lot more affordable for us there. In Orange county the average home is going anywhere from $445,000 and up. The $445,000 is a bank owned home too so the price is somewhat lowered. We are praying about renting a town home, condo or house for about a year. We are also looking at apartments, but I would really like to have washer/dryer hook ups and a small backyard with some grass so my puppy has somewhere to go potty.

My mom and sister are going to the Philippines in August on a missions trip. Frank and I are going to watch my little brother (at that time will be just over a year) while they are gone for two weeks. We are very excited to play house with a baby!!! I have been watching emma since she was 6 months old so Im not nervous about watching him, but I leave her everyday and go home. I will have him with me everyday and then when I go home, he will come home with me!! So there will be no break. I'm really excited for Emma to have friend over (even though the concept of sharing isn't quit there yet) to play with. We have a lot of fun things planned while he is staying with us!

Hope everyone is having a blessed first day of May!
