Half way there!

I am officially 20 weeks today. I'm so excited and have really loved this whole process. I am still thanking the Lord everyday that I haven't gotten sick yet. We are having so much fun when we go to stores picking out a cute outfit. I haven't had any weird cravings yet but I will sure tell you what they are when I have them. For a while we couldn't have any seasoned chicken cause the smell of it would well.... make me not feel so good.

This is me and my mommy on Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for!!!

Me and the hubby on Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see him running around chasing and playing with Michael, he's going to be such a great dad!!! Love you sweetie peteie!!!

This is a picture of my and my sissy at Thanksgiving. I am defiantly showing now!!

Now that I am 20 weeks I am feeling Michael moving soooooooo much!!! I think there is a sports player in my belly. :) He hasn't started kicking to where we can feel it on the outside yet. Poor Frank every time I say he's moving and kicking he wants to feel it. I have reassure him that it will happen soon. Here is a little of what I have learned is happening in my 20th week.

You will notice that your baby is more and more active (often in the evenings), and may even be able to see some movements. The growing uterus is pushing up against your lungs and pressing your tummy outward. Your navel may pop out and stay that way until after birth. The baby is about 10 in (25cm) long. Sebum from the sebaceous glands mixes with skin cells and begins to form the protective vernix, which clings to the lanugo all over the baby's skin, especially on the hairier parts and in creases.

I love learning all kinds of different things about his growth and what he is doing in there. I pray that everyone is having a great week and just remember it's half way to the weekend so smile!!!!! :)

It's a baby..............

I got to see my baby on a big screen and it was the best feeling ever. To see this little baby inside of me moving around and waving was so awesome!!! IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!

Sooooooo.......... we found out we are having (drum roll please) a baby.......... BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so over joyed I can't even begin to put it into words. Our son's (oh... how I love saying that!!!) name is Michael James McGuigan. We are so excited and just want to thank everyone for all your prayers and support!!!

Talk about a crazy day!

So...... today started off like any other day. I woke up, took Dash (my doggie) potty and then jumped into the shower. I got ready for work, had some breakfast, kissed my hubby goodbye for the day and headed off to work. I got to work and sat down in my office and started going through my emails, started entering my purchase orders. Things were pretty busy all morning and I had a lot of work ahead of me for the day. Its is now 9:30am and something is starting to smell bad, almost like paint or lacker, then it started to smell a lot like gas. Of course I was the first one who smelt it, not surprising with my super sniffer!!! Then in the next half hour it got worse and i started to get light headed and when I stood up I saw spots. I told my co-workers that I was going to walk to the post office to mail some stuff and to get some air. I was walking by some of the building in our complex and a couple guys asked me if our bathroom and office smelt like gas and chemicals and I said "YES, I couldn't stand it so I'm walking to the post office." One of the guys quickly said "NO you cant go there cause they are doing construction work under the sewer and its worse over there." Then another man came walking up and said "they are pumping gas and chemicals into the sewer and its leaking into all of our buildings." I told Erica (a co-worker) I couldn't stay much longer with the baby and all I just couldn't be taking in all those fumes. She called our boss and he told me to go home, as I was leaving I saw everyone in our complex and across the street outside of their buildings. It was a bad smell!!! Maybe a half hour later Erica called me said the smell was a little better and I could come back if I wanted to. I was heading back to work when she called back and said "never mind don't come in the fire department just came and is telling everyone to go home." As soon as I left and smelled some fresh air I was feeling just fine. I now have all day to do what ever I want so I thought to myself what should I do and then a smile came to my face and I thought of the perfect thing!! I'm went and surprised my hubby at work. I got a full tour of the Cath lab and what he does and where he does it at. I met a whole bunch of his co-workers and saw some I already knew. Then we went to xray where he use to work and saw some old friends. Then we got to go have lunch together, it was so much fun!! I came home and started to clean the house from top to bottom. I'm having family over this weekend. Guess what?????? We are going to find out the sex of the baby this Sunday. EXCITING..... I know I'm so excited I can barley stand it!! I will have lots of pictures to share with you all Monday. I will announce our baby's name too!! Im so EXCITED!!!!

I hope everyone has a very blessed and safe friday!!

Im 15 weeks!

My growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). It's busy moving amniotic fluid through it's nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in it's lungs begin to develop. It's legs are growing longer than it's arms now, and it can move all of it's joints and limbs. Although it's eyelids are still fused shut, it can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, it's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but it is forming taste buds.

I fell in love yesterday...

With my baby's heart beat!!!

Yesterday I had a doctors apt to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time. I was well... we all were super excited. It was a full room with my hubby, me, the baby, my mom, my sissy and the doctor.

My doctor said my baby's heart beat is strong and sounds great!!! All my blood tests came back normal and healthy so that was all good news. My doctor was a little concerned that I lost a pound since the last time I was in. I have to tell you I was happy about that, but I let him know that I am eating and drinking. I think that because Im eating more often and not huge portions is what is going on.

Look at the daddy to be he is super excited to hear his baby's heart beat. We are just so crazy excited!!! Everything is really going good. I haven't gotten sick and Im starting to feel my energy coming back.

12 week update

Here is an update on the baby. This week it is baby lime! HaHaHa.

The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, it's toes will curl, it's eye muscles will clench, and it's mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. It's intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into it's abdominal cavity about now, and it's kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

I'm love learning about the growth of babies. I get a lot of info from a book that my sweet cousin Ashleigh told me about "The complete guide to pregnancy and child birth" and a website.

Happy Thursday!

I'm 11 weeks today

Isn't it awesome how the Lord has made our bodies work to create another living human being. I'm having so much fun learning how my body is changing and what is going on inside there. Today I am exactly 11 weeks so here is what my body will be doing for the next week. :)

If you have felt nauseated during the last weeks, (oh yes I have) the sickness may gradually lessen from now onward. (praise the Lord there's a light at the end of this tunnel.) The amount of blood circulating through your body has stared to increase, and will go on increasing until about the 30th week. You should be discovering what childbirth classes are available, since they often get booked up early. Your baby's testicles or ovaries have formed at this point,(oh I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl) as have all it's major organs. These will not develop much further, although they continue to grow inside the uterus. The baby is relatively safe from the risk of developing and congenital abnormalities from the end of this week.

So there you have it. i love one of the websites I go on because the baby is always the size of something and this week it is the size of a kumquat. My sister was calling baby poppy, baby peanut, baby grape, all kinds of things so this week its baby kumquat.

Happy October!!!!!

Im so excited I can't wait!!! Im bringing my camera and taking a whole lot of pictures! When I get back I will share pictures and details on what we did. :)

HELLO!!!

WOW... I feel like I have been gone forever!!! The new job is going pretty good, it has its ups and it has its downs. I'm really good at it because its all about multi tasking and being organized. The sales world is a whole different world not one that I would stay in forever! I tell you after I get home from work and make dinner (if Im up to it) I just want to take a nap. For me that was so foreign. I now understand listening to your body when it is telling you to do something. I sit when I need a rest and I take a nap when Im feeling tired. Im just about 10 weeks now and Im seeing my body change its really cool!! Frank and i are having so much fun reading about the development of our baby and having lots of fun in the baby section of target. i can't wait to find out if its a boy or girl i have something really special planned to tell Frank. Praise the Lord I still haven't gotten sick so you know Im loving that cause I just hate being sick!!! So... other than that life is good we are hanging in there. Until next time God bless.

Please help before I turn into a cracker!!!

Well.... Morning, afternoon and evening sickness just isn't any fun at all!!! I'm actually doing a lot better than I thought I would be since I have such a sensitive tummy. I am getting Nassau's very easily, my nose is already super sensitive so now it's just out of control. I feel like I have eaten so man crackers in the last few days that I'm going to turn into one! :) Does anyone have any methods that worked for them, I'm willing to try anything!

Life hasn't slowed down yet

I guess I was waiting to post a new blog when things slowed down and well.... it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon. I don't know if I would know what to do it things actually did slow down. Frank took his last test and he says that he feels really good about it. Last night my in-laws came by and had dinner then we went to their house to pick up a car full of stuff. My mom and sister came home last Wed. so because I was having with drawls from my little bruder and I just wanted to spend some time with my family, I went up to my moms for the weekend. We had such a great time! On Friday we went out to dinner to Babes a place we knew my dad would pick if he were still here with us. We finished my little bruders thank you cards from him 1st birthday and watched movies and did lots of shopping! :) This week I can really see the Lord getting ready to do some great things in my life. Its a little scary cause I don't know the outcome of what's all to come but Im going to try my best to know that the Lord knows and I just need to remember he will be faithful. I have a doctors apt. tomorrow to get a referral to go see an OBGYN. That apt. has been set up for Sept. 11th, please pray that everything will go good and that there will be no problems and possible an earlier opening than what I have now. My mom, bruder and brother are coming this weekend to stay with us. We have a cousins 1st birthday party and my brother is getting ready to move back to the O.C. Life here at the McGuigan is constantly on the go and for now thats just how it is, and it wouldn't be the same any other way.

Update on the pregnancy- Im not feeling too much different. I'm not too big on cheese right now, and Im super tired at about
3:00pm to 5:00pm. Other than that Im having a ton of fun reading and learning about what my body is doing right now. If anyone knows a few good book to purchase any suggestions would be great. I have attempted to buy a couple books and when I got to the book store there were so many I couldn't decide. M hubby suggested I ask my blogging family and friends. What a smart guy huh!!! :)

My mom and sissy are back!

My mom and sister flew into LAX at 8:10pm last night. I was so excited all day long I just missed them both terribly. The last two weeks have taught me a lot. I had a few things going on that I need to talk to my mom about and well... I couldn't. I know that I can handle things on my own (I mean without my mommy) but I also was shown by the Lord how much I need her! I love being able to call her and just get her thoughts on things.

Here was the sign I made for my mom and sister. When they came walking up we were so excited to see them because they had been gone for so long but I had a surprise for them. When they walked up this was the sign they saw.

Then I flipped the sign and this is what they saw. At first my mom just didn't get it (probably cause she was so excited to see her baby boy). I made her read it again. My sister said "oh my goodness."

This is what I saw. HA HA HA I got them. They were so surprised! So YES YES YES we are going to have a baby. I found out yesterday morning and I don't think it has still fully processed until this morning when I got to tell my cousins and Aunt's. Frank and I are super super excited. I had this really cool thing planned to tell him. I was going to do a scavenger hunt and he would have to follow the clues to find the test, but my bruder woke up three times that morning (he cut two teeth) so I was soooooo tired. I couldn't not tell him. I put the test in our space saver and it has glass windows so when he went into the bathroom he would see it. As soon as he saw it he was like "what is this" "hey this says" "Tiffany are we." Thats right he couldn't finish any of his sentences. I finished all his sentences by saying "yes your going to be a daddy." That is how it happened.

*Please pray for us this weekend, its a bit of a ruff time for us and our family. My father has been in heaven for 7 years tomorrow and we miss him so much!! Especially at this exciting time.

The scariest moment ever!!

I'm so glad you couldn't see me a few hours ago because I was a reck. It was one of those times I needed my mommy super super bad to calm me down and she's not here right now. I just about lost it when the Lord knew and had my cousin Misty call me. She was just calling to see what time we were going to hang out tomorrow but little did she know the Lord was going to use her in another way. She listen to me cry and ball my eyeballs out and did just what my mom would do. She said "lets pray", as soon as she was done I felt a sense of calmness come over me. Thank you Lord for my cousins who are always here for me!!! So.. you wanna know what happened? Im sure you do so I will tell you.

I got a call at 10:45 this morning from a lady I didn't know saying "I have your dog Fanny", at that moment for whatever reason I couldn't process what she was saying why and how would she have my dog? I then said to her "what do you mean you have my dog." She then went on to tell me her daughter saw her running in the street and was almost hit by a car so she pulled over went to Fanny and she laid down. The lady picked her up and called my in-laws house because thats the first number on her tag. (we haven't changed it yet we were waiting until we moved and from there life just got busy, tonight they both will be getting new tags!!!!) The poor lady just trying to help got to talk to my father in-law who told her his life story because he wanted her to understand why he couldn't come get Fanny. In his own way he was trying to help but kinda scared her, he's pretty intense like that. She called my cell phone number. (which was the next number on the list) I kept pretty calm when I was talking to her just because I was shocked out of my mind. She told me she had to pick her daughter up from piano lessons and then she would bring Fanny right to me. I hung up with her and then broke down. It was just Fanny where was Dash? Was he at home? Did he run off with her? My heart sank, my tummy filled with knots. I called Jaime and asked her to come home so I could just go check and make sure he was there. She was home in a split (big dog lover) and I rushed over to my house balling my eyeballs out still. I opened that door and there he was jumping and happy to see his mommy and he had no idea how happy I was to see him. The lady and her daughter brought Fanny to Jaime's and she jumped into my arms, I took her home where her and Dash were too happy to see each other. So... I bet you are wondering how did she get out? That's funny well not funny but this morning as Frank and I were walking to our cars for work I said to him "honey you need to put that 2x4 down in front of the gate so the dogs can't get out. Frank said "I will do that this weekend." We leave the doggie door open so they can go potty but Fanny never goes out there she likes her potty pads in the house. I never ever for one second thought they would actually get out. For some reason at the bottom of our gate its flimsy. Thats what I get for thinking. Im doing ok now but I'm sure when I tell Frank I will fall apart a little and then next Wed. when my mom comes home fall apart a little again, but for now Im doing good.

The little girl told me she just got two new puppies so I got her a doggy scrapbook kit and made the mom a thank you card and will be sending that those to them on Monday. Thank you Jesus for keeping my kids safe.

Gotta love the toilet

I remember as a child always needing to talk to my mom, ask her a question and complain about something. She didn't like it when we would bother her in the bathroom. I can't imagine why. :) Never the less you know we did cause we needed our mom right then and there it just couldn't wait. I remember her saying that should be the one place she can just get away and have some privacy. Good luck with that right, well now I know why that is. I think this story is the best yet. I guess the good old saying "what comes around goes around" is in full swing, and I don't have any children of my own yet. I have to go potty and I think I close the door well I guess I didn't and who comes in with me... that's right my little bruder. Im trying to pee and he's opening the cabinets and pulling the toilet paper off Im trying to finish and keep him away from the toilet paper. I think he thinks he is a kitty cause thats usually what he goes to first. He's doing all this with one hand cause he has a remote control in his other hand that Frank gave him to play with so he wouldn't want to play with the ones that go to the tv in the living room. I finish get up pull my pants up and Im getting ready to flush and that little turd threw the remote controller in the toilet. I so didn't see that one coming and out of instinct I just grabbed it. Yuck I just stuck my hand in my own pee. I guess it's better than someone else's pee but still. I was so grossed out I washed and scrubbed my arm until my flesh started peeling off. Ok well maybe not peeling off but it was super super red. While this all is happening Frank is laughing telling my bruder good job little guy, and you know the little guy is laughing too. I guess all there was to do now is join in on the laughing so I did! Mom Im sorry that I never gave you the alone time you needed in the bathroom. I will try my best to give it to you now!! :)

You know just what I need!!!!

Just when I need it!!! It has been 4 1/2 days since my mom and sister headed off to the Philippines for their Missionary trip. I am watching my 1 year old brother for my mom while she is gone and we are both missing our mommy and sissy very much. We have been watching home videos 3 or 4 times a day. We look at pictures throughout the day but I just needed more. I was told they wouldn't be calling and most likely they wouldn't be able to email. I prayed Sunday night "I just need to hear her voice Lord, even if it's for a few seconds." Well..... yesterday as I was talking to my cousin my other line started beeping I almost didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the phone number but it was a number in the desert so I decided to take it, the number was so close to my moms cell phone number. It was my MOMMY!!!!! We got to talk for about 30 seconds and as soon as my bruder heard her voice he started smiling and getting very excited. I got to tell her how great he's doing and not to worry. I told her he's sleeping and really fast told her all the things we were doing, she told me they landed fine and she was watching a 5 pound baby. She said devotions were going great and they were being so blessed. Then the dreaded words came "sweetie I have to go" that's where we both lost it started crying kept telling each other to pray and we loved each other. Then the called was done I was so sad cause I'm use to talking to my mom 2 or 3 times a day, then I remembered I asked the Lord just to talk to her for a few seconds and that's what I got and I was so great full for those few wonderful seconds.

Look what I left for sissy...

WOW.. WOW... WOW... YOU MOTHERS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!

I have been having a awesome time with my bruder! We have been having lots of laughs and making great memories, but this by far has been the best one and made Frank and I laugh so hard out loud! Now their are still 10 more days to go so there could be better laughs but this by far is the best so far.

We are ending the night with a bath, then we play for a while and then in his own cute way (usually winning) he lets me know its time to go nite nite. This night was a little different cause he skipped his second nap so at 7:30pm he got a bath, played in the water for a little while (cause the pool wasn't enough :) and then I went to get his clothes got him out drained the bathtub and started to get ready to wrap up the evening. I put him down about 8:30pm and thought to myself I would love to sit down for one moment, but there was so much to be done. I needed to get everything ready for the next day, do dishes, get a couple loads of laundry done, I needed to get my scrapin room up and running, rinse the bath toys off, seal the grout on the tiles in the front bathroom and finally clean the million of toys all over the front room. I got the whole list done in about an hour. That was the fastest hour ever!! The last thing I had to do was rinse the bathroom toys and seal the tile, when I went in the bathroom it was stinky. I looked in the bathtub and well it seems that someone (can you guess who? Just think who was the last one in the bathtub?) left me a present in the bathtub. I told Frank to come in the bathroom and we were laughing so hard.

I couldn't believe that he went in the tub. I dont know why I was so surprise though cause I have lots of cousins (no names) and a sister and brother that went in the tub. Im sure I did too. I got the tub cleaned up bleach the tub and sealed the grout. I went and sat down by the hubby at about 9:45 and said "ok I think Im going to hit the hay." We headed off to bed I laid down and said "wow what a day huh I wonder whats next." I spoke way too soon and I will never say that again. My bruder woke up and was ready to play, yes that was his second nap or at least thats what he thought. We played until about 11:00pm and then I gave his a bottle and down he went. Things are never dull in the McGuigan home or at least they wont be for the next week and a half! :)

Dog update. In our house our dogs are our kids, because we have no kids yet. Dash is loving having bruder there but is getting a little ok a lot jealous! I have to remember to play with him too and spend some time with him as well. Fanny is kinda just staying out of the way, she is being really good and being a little more cuddly so that is a good thing!

Happy 1st Birthday!

I forgot to post pictures from my bruders first birthday. So... even though it was July second better late than never!!!!
La La, Sara, and the birthday boy!

This is me very, very tired!!!! We didn't go to sleep till real late getting ready for the party and then got up really early to set up for the party.

Isn't this little girl the cutest girl ever!!! This is my cousin Misty's daughter, she was having so much fun with the hat and I got some super cute pictures with her playing with it.

This was the birthday boys first birthday cake. At first he seemed a little confused on what to do with it, but he figured out it was ok to dive in real quick!!

After a long 1st birthday the little man passed out in his sissy's arms. Those are the moments I cherish with all my heart. The times when he curls up in my arms and just lets me love on him. Happy first birthday bruder!!

More reasons to be thankful!

Here are a few pictures from our camping trip. I had a blast and just loved loved having time with my family. Thank you Lord for blessing me with my family!
