Happy 1st Birthday!

I forgot to post pictures from my bruders first birthday. So... even though it was July second better late than never!!!!
La La, Sara, and the birthday boy!

This is me very, very tired!!!! We didn't go to sleep till real late getting ready for the party and then got up really early to set up for the party.

Isn't this little girl the cutest girl ever!!! This is my cousin Misty's daughter, she was having so much fun with the hat and I got some super cute pictures with her playing with it.

This was the birthday boys first birthday cake. At first he seemed a little confused on what to do with it, but he figured out it was ok to dive in real quick!!

After a long 1st birthday the little man passed out in his sissy's arms. Those are the moments I cherish with all my heart. The times when he curls up in my arms and just lets me love on him. Happy first birthday bruder!!

More reasons to be thankful!

Here are a few pictures from our camping trip. I had a blast and just loved loved having time with my family. Thank you Lord for blessing me with my family!

Blessings instead of Complaints

This post was inspired by my cousin Sara @ sarasmee.blogspot.com/. Thank the Lord for family and there wisdom. As I was reading her posts I realized after all this complaining I have been doing I should make a list of all the things I am thankful for.

My faith and salvation- Thank you Lord for keeping me strong and never leaving me!
My wonderful husband- What a rock! He is the best gift the Lord could have ever given me!!
My family- All the love and support they give me.
My doggies- All the kisses I get wether I want them or not. :)
My church- All my brothers and sisters in christ I have come to have relationships with
My home- not done yet but its getting there.
My in-laws- My mother in-laws support and love, my father in-law the love he shows in his own way.
Blogging- I truly love the friends I have made in the blogging world and appreciate all the prayer, and support!!!
My job- Even though it can be tuff at times it is a blessing and puts food on the table.

These are just a few of the things I am thankful for. Happy Tuesday!!

The saga continues....

I'm so thankful to have a home with my husband and dogs, but the ongoing things that are still going on are wearing on me! Things were looking up, the sink got fixed, the washer got hooked up and the tiles were taken care of. I did some laundry and well on the second spin cycle is just isn't spinning. We all know its suppose to spin on the spin cycle so now we have to go back to Best Buy and give them our receipt and get a new one. That makes me happy but I just want to do laundry!! The tiles I don't think the guy who is doing them knows really what he is doing cause he didn't seal the grout and its cracking and just coming out. Our dishwasher is not draining so we are still waiting on our landlord to find out when he is going to get that fixed. Please pray for our neighbor because when we got our air conditioner fixed his is not working anymore and his living room was flooded. He's getting his air fixed this week, but the poor guy and his dog went the whole weekend without air and it was pretty warm this weekend. Im staying positive and I know that the Lord is helping me get through this challenging time. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Quick update

As of last night we have a working air conditioner. It made things so much nicer last night when Frank was putting together our coffee table and computer desk. He wasn't all sweaty and miserable. We also got new carpet in the guest room, my brothers friend named it the "pee room", not anymore it smells like a new room. Today or tomorrow the washer, kitchen sink and the tiles in the bathroom are going to be fixed. We are slowly making our cardboard filled home feel like just a home. My mom is coming to spend the weekend with us to help me baby proof my house. Hold on hold on not for me, but for my little brother. He is going to be staying with my husband and I for two weeks while my mom and sister are in the Philippines for their missions trip. I pray everyone has a happy and blessed weekend!

6 quirky thinks about me......

Ok, I've been tagged by Kristi over at http://www.thimblethoughts.blogspot.com/ here are the rules.

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2.Mention the rules.
3.Tell 6 quirky, yet boring unspectacular details about myself.
4.Tag 6 other bloggers by linking to them.
5.Go to each persons blog and let them know they have been tagged.

Here I go.

1. I don't really like pizza but if I must eat it because my husband loves it then I eat it with ranch! I know your say yuck but trust me just try it once. I have had a lot of people tell me how gross that sounds and they tried it and are now hooked, they can't remember what pizza was like before they dipped it in ranch. :)

2. I DO NOT like my head petted. My husband thinks it is the funniest thing ever. He will do it to me just to get a rise out of me. I love going to the salon and getting my head messaged and tugged on but Im not an animal don't pet me.

3. I love veggies!! I know you may not think thats quirky but I would rather eat all the veggies at dinner time than anything else!!! My mom had it easy when it came to that when I was a kid. :)

4. I like to have everything in its place. I don't freak out if they aren't but I will put everything in it's proper spot and I do get made fun of for that. This moving thing Im trying to just take it easy and realize it will all be put in its spot in time. I won't lie though it is driving my NUTS!!!!

5. I love cleaning. Mostly other peoples houses but I love to clean mine too! I just love the smell of cleaning products and just fresh stuff.

6. Last but not least, I love sour stuff! I love sour candy, sour fruit (i dont mean sour as not good but sour flavor) like the skin of plums, green granny smith apples.

Here are the six people I tagged.

1. Just Laugh- abcand123okinawa.blogspot.com/

2. Ummm....So ya - sarasmee.blogspot.com/

Have fun!! :)

How's the moving going.....

It's going! I guess I can give you a few more details than that but I was just trying to keep you from getting a head ache. Here goes. I have to start off by saying that my husband and I did do a walk through with the landlord. We started moving in last friday night. My family came down to help us move and my awesome mom painted our bathrooms. I don't know how she does it in two days she painted both bathrooms without taping anything. As soon as we get a little more settled in I will post the pictures of the rooms.

Here is the break down.

1st- We bought a washer and dryer at Best Buy and they were delivering it on Sunday. Te delivery man showed up on time and tried hooking the washer up. He found that he couldn't because where the hose hooks to the line there was a leak. Sunday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm we had a plumber at our house trying to fix it and well couldn't. He hooked up the cold water but because where the hose hooks up to the spout is 15 years old (i know nothing about this kind of stuff) and i guess in poor condition it needs to be completely fixed. So.... we are waiting on that.

2nd- My mom was painting and made a scary discovery. When I did the walk through I thought that the tiles were just dirty and that I was just going to have to clean them. Well boy oh boy was I wrong. My mom was painting bare foot and stepped on the tile and found that her foot was wet. She pressed on the tile again and found water coming up from the tile. That is a problem even to me someone who knows nothing about these kinds of things. To make this as short as possible there is a major problem the plumber found, he took the toilet off and found there is a major leak. Again I know nothing about these things so Im explaining this as best as I can. There is suppose to be a wax seal when you take off the toilet well there wasn't there was wool. Then he called us in there to look and it looked like there was a tree growing into our toilet. So all that got fixed and he is suppose to come fix the tile as soon as he knows there isn't a leak anymore. Which Im giving him no more than a week. Cause remember there is black mold on the tile!! Not healthy at all!!!

3rd- The sink in the kitchen doesn't have a flitter in it so when you turn on the water to any pressure other than extra low the water sprays everywhere. When we did the walk through he turned it on but not high and so I just thought cool it works. Doing dishes with the pressure being low just doesn't work!!

4th- Yesterday I turned the air conditioning on to 75 degrees for the dogs, well when I got home the house didn't feel cool at all. So I turned it off and we went to my husbands parents house to fill our cars up with more stuff that we didn't take over the day of the move. When we got home it was 83 degrees so we turned the air on to cool the house. Frank noticed too that the house wasn't cooling off but we just kept running it to see if it needed to warm up. Keep in mind our first place didn't have air so we know nothing about this kind of stuff. We left it on until about 11:00pm and then I told Frank to just turn it off and turn on the fan. Wouldn't it be great if thats where the story ended. It would because that would have meant I got a good night sleep, but there is more. We headed to bed about 10is and from then to about 11:00pm someone rang our door bell three times. The first time we didn't hear it but I woke up to the dogs barking. I got them back into bed and calmed them down then I heard the door bell ring and woke Frank up. He went and looked out the peep hole and saw nothing, then again it rang and he went outside and still there was nobody. We were so upset to think someone thought this was funny to ring the doorbell and take off. We both didn't sleep well at all bring upset and a little nervous. This morning I woke up to this note on my door. COULD YOU PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING YOUR AIR CONDITIONING AS IT HAS A EVAPORATOR LINE LEAK AND IT IS FLOODING MY STORE ROOM. I ALREADY SPOKE TO PREY YOUR LANDLORD. THANK YOU, ED CHAVEZ UNIT B. Im just so not happy to think that I was flooding someone's room, I know it wasn't my fault but still how horrible. If your good at CSI stuff then you can put it all together but if not I will connect the dots for you. The ringing of the doorbell was the guy in the unit behind us trying to tell us his room was being flooded. The doorbell ringing stopped because I asked my husband to turn off the air because it didn't feel like it was working. Today the air guy is coming out to look at the unit and he's going to fix it.

5th- When we looked at all three bedrooms while doing the walk through one room smelled like cat pee. If any of you know what that smells like you know it isnt pretty, but take that smell and times is by 100. I thought the room smelt bad and just needed to be aired out. When we started moving in I asked my husband to get a Rug Doctor so we could clean the carpet. I was hoping this would solve the problem.. boy was I wrong it actually made it worse cause it brought the smell back up to the surface. I called our landlord and he set up an apt. for a carpet person to come out and check it out. He didn't even need to lift a corner he said it was bad. They ended up ripping it out right then and there and sanitizing the concert. Just to give you an idea of how bad it was there was so much cat urine that it couldn't soak into the carpet and the pad it was sitting on the concert. I almost threw up from the smell, it was really that bad! The carpet guy said that is the worst carpet he has ever seen.

Needless to say this has all been an eye opening experience. I would like to think that the Lord is pre-pairing us to buy a home one day. We are still unpacking and trying to stay in good spirits! If you think of us at all throughout your day please say a prayer for us! We know that is where the Lord wants us to be but we need his strength to help us through this. That is how the moving is going! We are super excited to have our own place but we will be even more super excited when this is all over!!!!

Coming next week.

I just want to start off this post by saying "thank you Lord!" Thank you for guiding me through this time in my life that I thought would never get here, and now that its here doubting it would work out. My flesh is so weak and Im such a worry wort. The Lord has shown me in a few different ways to trust in him. I am so thankful that I can run to him and ask him for forgiveness and know that my sins are washed away. I know that he loves me no matter what a nincompoop I can be.

This weekend I am going camping with my family and their church. I am just so excited!! Frank (my hubby) wont be joining us. He is still prepairing for the last test he needs to take. He says he's being a stay at home dad! :) We have two dogs!! :) It gives me a chance to really spend some one on one time with my mom, sister and brothers Im super excited!! Home

Here is our new home! We are so excited and feel so blessed by the Lord. Our plates are so full right now it's overwhelming. We both have so much going on but we are going to just pray the Lord help's us through it all. Frank just started his new job and absolutely loves it!! Since the program he was in was teaching them to be x-ray tech's, he wont be using much of that anymore some but not much. He has to basically learn all new stuff. He still has one more state test to take so he is studying like a crazy person. Me on the other hand have nothing going on, ha yeah right! I have so much going on I can't think straight. This week I need to buy paint for both bathrooms and two of the bedrooms. We aren't painting the third bedroom right now with hopes it might be a baby's room in the near future. :) My husband is so busy with everything I told him that I would do that painting. Im not good at painting but I don't think Im bad. This weekend Im going camping with my mom and her church so I will be gone Friday, Sat. and Sunday. Im leaving for her house Thursday night, and have to prep all our food for the trip when I get to her house. I need to buy the paint today or tomorrow, plus since we are starting to move next Tuesday I have to start packing. Oh Lord help me where do I even start. Everything is hitting all at once wouldn't you know. Please pray for my nerves I get stressed out easily and intern get sick, so I pray that I can just give it all to God and trust he will lead us in the right direction in everything.

Contest

Enter to win a great christian novel by Francine Rivers. All you need to do is go to http://Robin-rohinezenest.blogspot.com/ and follow the directions. Here is a little bit about the book in Robins words.

And speaking of good books - I am going to have a contest! I have a copy of Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. In my opinion this is one of the best Christian fiction books ever written. I remember when I first read it - we were staying at a bed and breakfast in Bozeman, Montana with my brother and his wife. My sister-in-law went to the Christian bookstore and we eached purchased a copy of this book. We went back to our room and laid on the bed and we could not stop reading. We read all weekend long. Our husbands were thrilled.

Francine Rivers calls this book her statement of faith. It's the first Christian novel she wrote after writing many "bodice-ripping" books. It is a parable of the Book of Hosea from the Bible. It tells of the incredible and unfailing love God has for us his people. It will change you.
